Ed's Business Experience
Ed Pontier is a real estate professional with extensive experience in both residential and commercial real estate. Most recently his focus has been as a licensed mortgage loan officer and settlement agent specializing in reverse mortgages.
Ed was member of The Rouse Company, based in Columbia MD, for more than 20 years. His duties included serving as Executive Vice-President of its consulting division where he directed consulting assignments in major US cities and international locations including Bogota Columbia and Belfast Northern Ireland.
He has also served as the US representative for a foreign-owned real estate investment trust and the executive director of several non-profit entities responsible for the redevelopment of downtown areas in the United States. He has received the “Key to the City” in Kansas City, Kansas for his work in the redevelopment of its central business district.
Ed has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Loyola University of Maryland and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Marco Island Arts Council. Ed also has served as the Treasurer of the Marco Island Rotary Club and is currently a member of the Marco Island Boxing Club.
He received a B.S. degree, in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University. He resides in Marco Island, Florida and is employed by NexSpring Financial as a Reverse Mortgage Specialist.
